A more recent look at the works for the new canal where, after the digging, new shoulders in reinforced concrete are being built. The workers are tying rebars and coupling them to the palisade of micropoles, clearly visible on the left of the picture. From left to right, the different stages of the work are visible: the rebarred shoulder, the molds in place and the reinforced concrete wall awaiting to be plastered.

That is a lot of work. Great shots VP.
Super series. It looks like a lot of work but also that they are doing everything possible to ensure this thing will last forever.
I especially like the last shot with the various stages shown. Quite fascinating!
We had a tunnel being built in Boston for over a decade called "The Big Dig." Somehow, the Italians manage to make a big dig look neat and tidy. Our's was a big mess.
Won't it be wonderful when this canal fills with water. It looks like maybe it will happen soon.
They're moving along fast, it seems. I can't wait to see it when it's done.
I hope the builders also keep such good photos of the progress, for the archives.
You need some good (and now hot) boots to work down there.
VP, I wish I had your technical vocabulary to describe such things.
By the looks of it, water will be flowing there soon.
wow it's massive, they are working hard there!
Thanks for this report post! It's a new process,I've never seen it.I like it a lot!

Very interesting, VP!
It seems that once it's done, you will never know it was done.
