GOD JUL! Merry Christmas to you. Perhaps you will not believe this, but I am actually sitting at a cafe table at the Italian cafe "Ambaradam" at Corralejo..... lots of Italians, and the best coffee on the island.- Back to the snow on Monday. Keep warm and have a nice Christmas.
Two stories come to mind. The first is about the white star. When I was growing up in Finland, we usually went to Holland to spend Christmas with family. After taking the ferry from Helsinki to Sweden, we would drive through Stockholm to see the Christmas decorations. It was then all in white... a [what to me then looked like] HUGE lit tree in front of the city hall and many many windows had a white lit star. And that's why to this day I still love simple white Christmas decorations. The second story is about the candle rose. Earlier this year we went to Nepal and worked with a small NGO that taught their deaf and blind charges to make just such little flower candles. They worked in teams, one blind and one deaf/mute. Amazing.
All the very best of the season to you two, VP and Trillian!
