Coppa Barontini

Venezia, Trofeo D'alesio 2010After winning the “Coppa Risi'atori” two weeks ago, the “gozzo” of the quarter of “Venezia” won the “Coppa Barontini” last Saturday. I didn't see the race so I am posting an archive photo taken last April, during the “Trofeo D'Alesio”.San Jacopo, gozzo“San Jacopo” was an excellent second, the picture was taken last Thursday, during a training session.

I tried this once. Had no idea how much work it is!

Everyone pulling in unison! They'd better be! The "Venezia" group must be pretty darn good! Love these photos!

I would rather photograph it that participate.

What a treat to see these photos. I often see the University of Minnesota students crew on the Mississippi. Any activity on water is appealing.

I agree about watching being more comfortable than participating. Speaking of which, is this a good spectator sport?

Hi Trillian - thanks for all your delightful comments...you make my day!

Re your question on The Villages: No, there's no swimming in Lake Sumter ... it contains too many alligators!

I never get very interested in team sports, but it would be fun to see these guys in the boats with the color and activity, as long as I don't have to care who wins.
