I may have told you this but I had never seen a corner building until 1957. I was in the Navy and part of a support group with some reserve sailors spending time in Morocco. We flew to Rome for a weekend. What an amazing city and I still have a bunch of slides in good shape that I took on that excursion.

With my luck, I'd wind up with the corner room. :-)

I have seen buildings and corners like this from Paris and now from Livorno.
How do they decorate a room like this? Where do they put the sofa or bed? One day I might find out.

I always think of the "flat iron" building in NYC when I see these. I think it would be great to have my desk right in the sharp corner so I could look out the window on either side.

In the US we would call that a flat iron building. I don't know why.
