Santa Trinita Bridge

The Santa Trinita bridge is one of the main access point to Livorno from the north and the cargo area of the port. It has been damaged several times by trucks and never repaired.

The above picture was only an aperitif: as you can see the real damage lies a bit ahead.

The same damaged part seen from below. Considered the kind of traffic, it is incredible that a bridge like this has been built without a guard rail.

Wow! A guard rail is definitely required here VP, hopefully it won't take something more serious to make authorities realize this!

I can't believe that! It will probably take someone losing their life before a guard rail is built.

Interesting post. Bridges can be hazardous as you show. Guard rails are an obvious needed addition.
