We usually see this from the land side because you need a boat to get there, but my friend Maurizio took these pictures for us. The external side is protected by rocks and by a line of concrete tetrapods. On top of the barrier there is walkway from where you can see the whole port: here we are looking toward the south entrance, the only one used by ships.

That last shot is a beautiful scene.
Hi VP, I'm really enjoying your photographic tour of Livorno
Looks like a great place for some quite time.
What a place for a walk! I love les môles.
Brittany has taken a new battering with very high tides and the isle of Sein's moles have been damaged as has the outer wall of its big lighthouse (the one shown that looms above the 'rickety' bench...
Such graceful curves.
Those are a couple of nice walkways by water.
It looks like a wonderful place for a walk. I like that it is well kept.
I agree totally with Halcyon.
Beautiful captures too.
Nice place for a walk, I agree too.
They are both beautiful. AND, a fine place to walk and think.
Bellissime prospettive! Ciao, Arianna
These are so beautiful VP.
