The stern of the “Seven Seas Mariner” near the “Canaviglia” bastion of the “Fortezza Vecchia” (Old Fortress). The 216-meter ship was launched for Regent Seven Seas Cruises in 2001, at the Chantiers de l'Atlantique in Saint-Nazaire, France. She was the first all-suite, all-balcony cruise ship and was “Ship of the Year” in 2002. VP, that is a huge ship. I've never been attracted to large cruise ships, but always been attracted to the sea. That is a hard itch to scratch for someone who lives more than 1000 miles from any sea. Fine photos, as usual.
I think I could use a trip on this ship, right about now.
It always amazes me how big these cruise ships are.
I wonder what the crane is for, a window washer maybe?
This cruise is surely gigantic. I wonder how such a big ship could manage to float in ocean? This is something I had yet seen before in my life.
I love the second image. It is beautiful!
I have started saving..... would love to have a trip on a floating hotel, at least once in my lifetime.
Somewhere nice and warm, and interesting stops.
I am dreaming already:)
Wow, that is a big one.
What do you get 3-4 cruise ships in there a week? That must bring in some $$$$$$$ to the city.
Birdman - Make it 3-4 a day... We are so smart that most of that money goes to those dumb Pisans and Florentines!
Grandes barquitos que llegan a puerto.
Saludos y un abrazo.
Suddenly your fortress looks small.
I went to your link to watch the video of the rescue. A brave cruise ship captain.
You need to stop the trains and buses to Pisa and Florence...
I'll always choose the fortress against the giant!
Oh she's pretty! Not too small, not too big, just fine.
A floating building taller than the real concrete one!
