Dry Dock

Small dry dock, LivornoThis is the gate, practically a caisson, of the small dry dock, built alongside the “Canale dei Francesi” (Frenchmen's Canal). You can easily see the level of the water on the outer side and the dry part on the right.Superyacht Sunday, small dry dock, LivornoThe boats enters the dock when it is level with the water outside.Superyacht Sunday, small dry dock, LivornoAfter closing the gate, the water inside is pumped out, leaving the boat, properly supported, on the bottom of the dry dock.
