Falling to Pieces

The authorities quick remedy was an outer line of barriers to cordon off the already cordoned off.

Sad to see this structure in such a state of deterioration.

I'm glad no one was hurt! How very sad that the building is falling apart.

It sounds like your church has a similar history to my post today VP, but I think the outcome for mine has been a little more successful. Have a good Sunday.

This is disappointing. Given the state of the economy, it will be hard to find the funds to repair a building as damaged as this one.

Oi veh, that's bad news. But hopefully it will be a wake-up call to the authorities to do something about it. I hope that would mean fixing the church and not demolishing it.

Once we had Jerusalem stone cladding fall off the hotel right onto my bus stop at the Central Bus Station. The small area was cordoned off with the sign "Dangerous building."

Pity, it seemed to be quite an architectural treat!
God bless you!

it's a pity but, as it was already said, during this crisis time and the warning of bigger ones, who would take the responsabilies to renovate old buildings?

Bummer. The castle in Stockholm have had the same problem but is being repaired now, it will only take twenty years to fix it...

E' un vero peccato lasciar andare in malora simili gioielli! Anche tagliare le guglie...non ho parole! Ciao, Arianna
