Yes, it's Bougainvillea and as far as I know, it doesn't smell. Nevertheless, it is a wonderful frame for the balcony, emphasizing all the details. Great, VP!
Beautiful composition with the fantastic balcony in the background. Bougainvillaeas are in full bloom here too and will remain like that until October/November.
Love their colors, but absolutely hate their thorns and the daily sweeping that their one-day-only blooms require. I guess all beauty require high maintenance. ;)

Marvelous, VP. I don't think we have this plant in New England. Our winters are too cold for it.
They are wonderful but watch out for those thorns.
Gorgeous color on those flowers!
So beautiful - love the purple color!
Is that bougainvillea VP, pulled the picture right in but not 100% sure, it looks so beautiful.
wow, a great splash of colours!
I think it will soon reach the top.
They will make it I think.
Nice picture! l
What an aroma must be on that balcony.
I expect a beautiful woman, at any moment, to come out on that balcony.
But would that beautiful woman be named Juliet?
Arguably one of my favourite flowers...
