On the Walls

Let's see this as a short walk in the strange world of graffiti. I took all these pictures last June, within minutes, in the city center.Red Brigades graffiti, LivornoI hope the star of the “Brigate Rosse” (Red Brigades) is a joke, even if a very bad one.Let's hope that the crisis gets worse! graffiti, LivornoThis one says: “Let's hope that the crisis gets worse”.Shit! graffiti, LivornoThe last one is quite laconic and even (badly) dated: “Shit!”.

Weird! You've got as many loonies in Livorno as we do here!

They always annoy me, especially when appear out of the blue on newly renowated places!

Here they are very often written in English....

I think we talked about graffiti before. This kind does not amuse me! Makes for a nice photo collage, though. :-)

Annoying is a good word here.

They all seem to have such beautiful outlooks on live.

Sigh. I don't mind street art, but these can't be called art by any stretch of the imagination.

You will not have any trouble finding the word at the bottom on portuguese walls as it is exactly the same and it seems to be a vandal's favourite!

About the first one... Let bad memories remain bad memories. I'll never forget the 2nd of august 1980, waiting for a train in Bologna. I had spent the night sleeping rough in a garden outside the station, was in the ticket hall. Bad memories.
