A Lion of Shanghai

Still roaming the streets of the “Shangay” quarter, we have found this proud lion “marzocco” watching the walls of a house. We have already seen the house of the azulejos, but we missed this composition in a corner of the garden.

LDP meets VDP

As you probably know we are in Paris and yesterday afternoon we had the pleasure to meet our fellow blogger cieldequimper of Versailles Daily Photo. We had a nice dinner together and we spent some great time chatting.
Thanks, ciel, for your time and hospitality...

Did you converse in French? Italian? Both?

The bust and the shell reminds me of still lifes used in art classes.

I love that sweet old Lion. Nice face.

Oh what fun!! I wish I could have been there too.

The only time I was able to meet Ciel the horses tore down the back fence and I had to stay home and fix fences. Wah!!

So i am glad for the three of you. MB

Oh that must of been a fun afternoon! Are you taking photo's in Paris, too? :)

The statues are very pretty, especially the lion! It looks very brave!

I guess this is not one of the "stupid-face" lions?

Sounds like everyone had a good time in Paris! And I like those glasses.

Same story here. The occasional proud lion depicted in the form of a statue. I wonder why.
