Before Sunset

I have already said in another post what I think of sunsets, but I really like the warm light before.I took these pictures during a quick walk around the “fossi” (our canals), finding some nice reflections either. This is a detail of the “Ponte dei Domenicani”.One of the boats of the “Nautical Institute”, with in background the stones of the “Fosso Reale” enhanced by the grazing light.
After few days in Paris, we're back to our daily routine in Livorno.

hai ragione, la luce prima del tramonto è bellissima, calda e vitalissima. la prima barca ha una bella aria vissuta. il riflesso dell'ultima barca è molto bello!
ciao simona

These are lovely. Perfect time to photograph.

These are excellent. I love the reflections but they would be good even without them.

I wish that I understood the science behind the formation of reflections. All of these photos are indeed lovely and the reflections are so detailed and clear.

The mood, light, subjects, everything really, of these pictures are simply beautiful.

Super wonderful reflections---hey--the whole picture is great too. They all are. Water is such a wonderful subject.
Welcome home. MB

I love the light just before sunset too. And I've also discovered that it's the best for good photographs! :)

These are lovely.

Hope you had a great time in Paris!

I too like the last photo the most. It really captures that warm and distinctive Mediterranean light. So beautiful.

And welcome home from Paris.

I love this time of day...the light is so warm - it makes things glow. My favorite here is number 3, with that beautiful reflection which makes the bricks wavy.

I'm sure you had a grand time in Paris...and I hope we'll see lots more great photos on your other blogs!

Hi Trillian! Welcome back from Paris!

Re your question about Sam's Club...it is a branch of the infamous Walmart stores - a "warehouse" superstore with all kinds of things, from toys to computers, to cameras to cosmetics, to food, to wine, to...well, just about everything. Often you must buy in large quantities but you can save money that way if you're careful.

The other thing is that the merchandise changes frequently...so they may sell a certain kind of sofa one day but have a totally different kind (or none at all) a week later.

It's a fun place and we go there on occasion, but it's too easy to spend a lot of money! :-)

The colors and reflections are perfect. I love that evening light, but I also like sunsets - although I think it's nice when a sunset photo also shows something of where it was taken :)

I agree, the light in these photos is perfect. I especially like the last one.
