“Scali Saffi”, a green on green composition at the front gate of the “Mercato Centrale”.An abandoned Ape, the grass had time to grow around the wheels.A typical “portone” (front door), the ring on the right side opens a smaller service door.

Colour coordinated...very nice touch for the top photo. The bottom snap of the door is great...love the idea of a large door with a smaller one contained within it.
I like the Ape too bad it is in such a bad shape.
Do you think the Ape has been there since the late 1940s/1950s?
Good eye! The colors really do match perfectly in that first photo. I don't know what to say about the Ape...except that here it would have been towed away years ago! The door I like very much...solid looking and somewhat foreboding. I don't see a door handle, though. How do you get it open?
The Ape is new to me.
Your Combat Ape post is funny.
Poor Ape, nobody has use for it anymore.
L'industria italiana dell'automobile cortesemente ringrazia e la inviata, per la prossima volta, a stare rinchiuso a casa sua
@ Stefano - Potrebbero regalarmi una barca...
I like the shade of green in the first photo, really feel sorry for the lonly neglected Ape, and adore the elegance of the front door!
Happy weekend to you:)
It's amazing how the greens match in the top pic! The Mercato building looks great.
I've got a lot of benches today but not sure if you want those... :-)
Funny how the car matches the color of the gate! We call that "matchy - matchy" in my office! Cute!
nice to see some everyday things about Livorno!
Is the first one a seat marbella??
Ive got the same one in red in Samos for...some 16 years now still running and running!!beste regards
Matching the door, how clever of the car ;D Wonderful photos!
I like those old cars. If that second one was here, it'd be covered in kudzu by now!
@ JM - Not a bad idea...
