I found this head, and few others, on a facade in “Via del Platano”.A “Madonnina” in a small votive niche in “Borgo dei Cappuccini”.Same street, the door handle of a restorer workshop.Few steps further, a cow plush backpack in search of a owner. We have already seen this beautiful sundial in the post “Sine sole sileo” (Without the sun I am silent). Today the sun is out and the time on the dial is right!

So glad the sun is out to make your walk more pleasant...that first shot is rather frightening and I wonder why people would put up something like that...
The second too pious for me, but interesting...
The third a gorgeous old door handle...
The fourth ... well could I buy some milk and leave the cow?
Thanks for taking us along with you!
You find the strangest things hanging on walls. I'm glad you captured the detail of the door handle.
You discovered and displayed some very interesting details!
That's a very nice walk I really like the head and the door handle.
That first one is a bit spooky.
Sydney - City and Suburbs
such beautiful details in every photo.
I hope the person finds their cute backpack!
Very eclectic. I like them all even the fuzzy cow. I have the same Madonna and Child on a Holy card somewhere. MB
The door handle is so unique - lucky you to have it in your collection:)
I also love the head and 'Madonnina'- the votive niche are pretty common here too.
Thank you for another lovely walk, VP! I really love the door handle and the unusual sundial.
You notice the smallest, most curious details. It is always fun going on an adventure with you.
The sundial is amazing! I'd probably be there staring at if for hours, just watching the finger move :)
Some child, somewhere, is crying over the lost backpack.
One thing I love in your blog is the sometimes totally heteroclit mix of pictures. Here is a very good example, a campiello, a cow/backpack, a sundial. Carry on!!!
VP, That link was a really nice surprise! It was fun to see the same ship line in Livorno. I hope over the year I can post something of each shipping line we get here. I think I have most of them already, but maybe not yet. Tomorrow I have something fun with ships. And I will double check the links. It was very late at night when I did it and I was having trouble with the Blogger formatting. Ciao!
This head in the first picture is nothing short of frightening!
God bless you!

Beautiful items! Keep walking, and remember your camera....
Very eclectic, VP! Goes to show you can never know for sure what you might see while on a walk.
You have a neighborhood rich with images for your photo walks!
The Madonnina niche is my favourite. The mix of old and the almost kitsch makes for a great capture. Nice find!
Misusing my words I gave the wrong impression that that the backpack was lost by some kid: it was simply on sale in a shop window.
