Two Churches

Church of San Ferdinando, Luogo Pio, Livorno
In Piazza del Luogo Pio the deconsecrated church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and of St. Joseph is now being transformed in a museum, and faces the still active and historical church of San Ferdinando.

Best wishes for the future museum.

Look at that BLUE sky! Fantastic!
A church turned in to a museum is probably also a good idea.
I like open spaces around public buildings, and I hope the new museum will get lots of visitors.

Two very different buildings.
I wonder why that church was deconsecrated ?

It will be a unique museum in this former church.

Good that it's going to have a second life and not rot away.

Well, at least they didn't knock it to the ground.

That sounds like a great reuse of that building.
