The 276-meter container ship “Al Farahidi” of the
United Arab Shipping Company, leaving the port of Livorno.
The “Al Farahidi” was built in 1998 by the Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd, in Japan. The last shot, with the tug “
Alessandro Neri”, was taken under the rain.

It looks overloaded!
I like that shot on the lower left with the men being dwarfed by the ship's hardware.
Great shots VP. It is huge!
That second shot is really special.
She's a big one!
Speaking of Italian waters, the Swedish coast guard ship Poseidon is currently working there saving refugees. The other day they had to fire warning shots when an Italian vessel approached.
I wouldn't want to have to count all the containers aboard. That IS a large vessel.
Living in the desert, I never get to see scenes like this.
So many containers!!
That's big. I always wonder what's in the containers...
It looks heavy!
I like the letters in the name.
That is a major load of containers, but looking at the waterline the ship looks lightly loaded. Perhaps many of those containers are empty? I note they are mostly owned by the shipping company. Interesting photos.
Wow, so many containers !
So many containers!
