The photo was shot on May 8 and the mayor, Filippo Nogarin, was speaking at a political meeting in Piazza Attias, introducing his party's candidate in the regional elections that took place over the last weekend.

Looks like a peaceful crowd.
Looks like they are listening intently.
It's good to see people interested in politics. Sadly, here there are people who have no clue what is going on, yet vote. That is dangerous. Of course, I want everyone to vote, but they should inform themselves of the issues first.
I hate political speeches, you never know what to belive.
Democracy in action.
The crowd is attentive. The empty space in the photo makes the scene seem orderly.

I've become a bit like Randy over the years. Good to see that there was a bit of a crowd though.
Apathy runs rampant.
VP, I think you already know what my feelings are regarding politicians... The Portuguese will elect a new government in a few months and the political parties campaign, although not official yet, is already unbearable! They speak as if they had nothing to do with the economic and social mess we've been living for four years... YUCK!
A very interesting photograph. I like that nobody's throwing eggs or tomatoes! :)
A very orderly crowd, VP!
Quite attentive, and a lovely setting!
That looks way too peaceful VP :)
Looks like the perfect place and day for it.
The audience are good listener.
Looks like most of the crowd is interested in what he has to say. Did he win?
