The “Hämeenmaa” is a
minelayer of the Finnish Navy, launched in 1991 and thoroughly modernized in 2007.
The ships of this class, the other is the “Uusimaa”, are practically perfect for monitoring Russia's Baltic fleet.
Since October 2013 the “Hämeenmaa” is also the flagship of the Finnish Navy.

A much needed ship.
Quite an impressive ship!
Very big! I like the picture of the flag.
I like the shot with the flag.
Interesting pictures and a nice ship but I hate to think of her having to put mines into the water.
Beautiful and elegant ship, a sin that it must be used in that way...
Important job... You are so international!
nice! i like the flags on it!
Like your flag shot with ship behind.
The flag is beautiful!
She looks fast!
Beautiful photos of this rather menacing piece of military might. I would agree it is a necessary ship because it does a necessary job these days.
Unfortunately, military ships like these are needed. She does have a certain beauty though.
Need to follow them Russians and see what they are up to so I guess this ship is still needed.
It sure is big! It's sad that countries need to protect themselves from other nations but it's important to be alert and ready.
