A Good Start?

In his first days as mayor Filippo Nogarin has already startled and sometimes even amused most of us. He immediately renounced his chauffeur-driven official car and turned up at Town Hall behind the wheel of his own white Audi. He still likes to ride his bicycle, but that could be somewhat impractical at times.

After going after the folly of a new hospital, he is also trying to stop a construction project that would result in the “cementification” of a square along the new canal, in the heart of the picturesque Venice quarter. We may even wonder if he could do something about the isthmus of Crocetta...

Beautiful building.

Be wary of politicians overextending their reach.

The best to you!

There seems to be a ray of hope ... if you do not need a new hospital a nice square along the new canal would be beneficial to the city, I'm sure!

Sounds like a man who cares.

"Cementification," that's a nice word.
Good luck to the mayor in stopping all the ugly projects.
Does he at least accept a bodyguard in his own car?

The town hall is beautiful. Some would say that he shouldn't be driving an Audi... That's a bit of an expensive car. Me, I couldn't care less as long as they earn their money honestly and pay their taxes...

As long as he doesn't read the paper and talk on the phone while driving, I'm ok with him driving himself to work. Good old mayor Ford of Toronto was spotted many times doing that. In that case, I'd rather him use a chauffeur.
