I have already expressed my opinion about the “Notte Blu” (Blue Night) four years ago and I still stand by my words. The only thing worse is the “Notte Bianca” (White Night), when cohorts of zombies take over the city making us nostalgic about the usual sparse drunkards and disorderly youngsters.
Our first stop in this Blue Night was at a very calorie-rich stall in Piazza XX Settembre.
The same stall also had on display some incredible slabs of raw licorice.
A few steps further, a normal balloon was posing as a hot air balloon of sorts.
Not so many customers willing to “Try the speed of the fiber”, but the stand in Piazza Cavour was nice.
A strangely multicolor reflection in the waters of the Fosso Reale (Royal Canal).

That is without a doubt the most licorice I've ever seen in one piece!
Hmmm, reading your earlier posts through the links, we have something similar in our Nuit Blanche, but it's directed at art exhibits and lasts through the night.
The Canal looks beautiful!
The licorice photo is quite surprising, but I suspect the guy painted gold in the back has had too much.
Looks like an interesting event. I like that last shot.
Somehow I get the impression you don't think to highly of this sort of thing. I've never even heard of slabs of licorice - can't imagine. I do like very much the multi-colored reflections.
But you have to admit you got some unique photos out of Blue Night.
Love the fiber arch and your beautiful night shot!
Food and music the whole night through? Sounds like events for Manila.
I'm amazed at the variety of dried (candied?) fruit in your first photo!
These are so good VP.
When I was little I liked the carrube :)
Amazing reflections in the last photo!
I think the Blue Night doesn't look too bad. I'd love to try the raw licorice, sounds interesting!
Well, gee, your pictures sure are neat even if you aren't that fond of the event. :)
I like events like this, and I love your photos, especial the one with all the boats.
I'd probably love it.
Che bel post colorato! Ciao, Arianna
The top shot is so yummy and the bottom one show us some great reflections.
