More Troops

I take this opportunity to thank all the slobs that forced me to watermark these old postcards.
Vintage postcard, scali degli Olandesi with passing troops, Livorno
Mercato Centrale, another view (with passing troops) from Scali degli Olandesi, 1914

Scali degli Olandesi, Livorno
Mercato Centrale, almost the same view from Scali degli Olandesi, April 2013

I think we have all been victims at one time or another.

It has hardly changed at all. A classic!

Then and now, beautiful !
A difference of almost 100 years and not much has changed... except the cars.

Huh? Old postcards? Are you kidding?

We don't really dress like that anymore, we don't have that kind of parade anymore or only rarely but we still bicycle and thankfully go to the market. It's a beautiful building.

Fine photo of a historic building that has survived. Few changes in the building itself. It is still a central market, or is it now used for other things?

Nothing much has changed. I am sure there are still parades past there. And, I saw that your link goes to your very first post, in December 2008!

Beautiful building and, once again, great "before/after" post.
