Rivellino di San Marco

Turret, Saint Mark's Ravelin, Rivellino di San Marco, Livorno
This turret is part of what once was the “Rivellino di San Marco” (Saint Mark's Ravelin), a fortification erected between the “Fortezza Nuova” (New Fortress) and the “Forte San Pietro”.

That turret is charming, but it is pretty rickety. I hope it gets some renovation before it falls down!

What a wonderful image my friend!

I'm not sure about renovation :-) but hopefully it'll last a bit longer if it isn't eaten up by lichen and... ummm...

;-)
