The “Chiesa della Santissima Trinità” (Church of the Most Holy Trinity) in “Borgo dei Cappuccini”. As the address says, this is the church of the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin, which has been in Livorno since the 16th Century. In the course of centuries the original building has been enlarged and remodeled several times. The actual church was completed in 1903, but it was almost completely rebuilt after the last war.A 1937 card celebrating the first centenary as a parish church.

Such history in this structure. I do like the card.
A couple of years ago, I thought of becoming a monk. A beautiful church indeed. Please have a wonderful new week you all.

Beautiful images VP, I really like the card as well.
I agree with Farmchick, that card is beautiful.
It looks pretty much like the 1937 card. It is very amazing. Is this still a home for the Monks? Is Mass said in this church for all churchgoers? MB
Nice classical architecture.
I like the Italian architecture with separate campanilla. Do you collect old postcards? It is a good method to preserve the old days memories.
@ MB - It's a parish church, so it is open to everybody. The monks are still around.
@ Traveling Hawk - My collection is mostly digital, with the help of several friends.
Are these churches open for the public, or is it just for Sunday services?
@ Gunn - Here it is not easy to find a church open during weekdays.
I can imagine the tower bell sounds fabulous!
Ahhh VP, I love Church pictures, this one is so beautiful, the lovely facade, simple but elegant and perfect!
I loved that bell tower, and your second picture give us a different angle, it's a gift for us, fans of your photography, thanks so much!

I'm glad the Capuchin friars are still around. So many centuries in Livorno.
Do they walk around in the brown robe when in the city or dress in civilian?
Looking at the card and back to the building, it looks like they did a fantastic job when they rebuilt it.
Beautiful tower and the card is so cool!
