We have already seen in “Scali delle Ancore” that a hardware store uses a side window as a gallery for local paintings. This time the subject is an older version of the “Darsena Vecchia”, while the recent photo is much more crowded with larger and less picturesque boats.

I would take the painting home. This is very appealing. I love it when you compare art to the real location.
Can't say which picture is the better one.
Please have a good Sunday.

I think they are both such beautiful images. The painting is one that I would buy too.
The first photo reminds me on the boats in Malta.
I like the painting, VP. It would be a good reminder of the location and the harbor with all of the boats.
A picture of a picture...very nice. Actually the top painting is one that apparently many of us would buy.
I love both:)
I agree with Robert, both are fantastic photos! Such an interesting post! :-D
Happy sunday!
Not much difference, there's a touch of new blue...
I would also like to have that painting!
Great images VP.
I wish I had a painting like that to hang over our fireplace! And the "real thing" isn't bad either!
At least they are putting their window to good use!
Both are pretty.
It's beautiful, adorable painting!

Thank you for showing a photo of the place as well as the painting. I'd say the artist is very competent.
Nice painting. Needs another frame I think.
I agree with Steffe... give it simpler wood frame and I'd take it. It's a lovely composition... and so is your photo, then!
It's amazing how you find these paintings to go with your photos... or vice versa! :-)
