This bridge is known as “Pontino” (little bridge) and it is where the “Fosso Reale” connects with the “Canale dei Navicelli”. With the term “Pontino” we do not usually intend the bridge itself, but the quarter around it.
The canal is lined by boats until it reaches “Dogana d'Acqua”, now the object of a major reconstruction project.

Beautiful. When I lived in Annapolis, Maryland, the walkways were near the boats just like this.

This Pontino looks to be an old bridge. I remember that I saw such a chanel with boats in Trieste too.

A canal made into a marina, that is interesting. Great solid bridge, but the small underpass would limit the size of the boat you could keep here.
