A former school in the Venice quarter, the “Paradisino” institute, has been recently converted in offices and apartments. The name “Paradisino” means “little Paradise”.The huge windows of the “Mercato Centrale”.More windows from a building in “Via Castelli”.

These pictures surely would have been a joy for Dali. Look a bit surreal, as they are all closed, yet beautiful. Please have a wonderful weekend.

An interesting combination of windows and buildings. But why are the windows all shuttered - especially in that first building which now consists of offices and apartments...
Maybe they're facing the afternoon sun?
Great set of images. Very nicely composed all of them.
I like the windows in the Mercato Centrale but the others look like prison windows. Maybe the people in those offices feel that way. MB
Windows are fun to photograph.
Very interesting windows. I like the colours.
@ Jacob - When I took these pictures both buildings were still empty, with some minor works still in progress.
@ MB - You are right, welcome to our cramped way of life...
I like the shutters and the colors.
Terrific - no favourite this time!
I love this series of windows. I was wondering if it was so hot that all the shutters were closed but you've already answered.
Oh, about the statue in Versailles, it isn't patience! You'll see tomorrow. :-)
Spectacular collection of windows! Are all buildings in Livorno colored pastel? Very pretty :D
Viva the arch!
Fantastic patterns in these windows. And the light! Absolutely gorgeous!
I just love these window images.
And the colors are soooooo Italian!:)
Love the repetition in every photo. Very cool post, VP!
A gorgeous series of shapes and colors.
