Near a Castle

Liberty villa, eclectic style, viale Italia, LivornoAfter miniature castles and Moorish mansions, the last “palazzina” of this block has a quite normal and elegant look.Liberty villa, eclectic style, viale Italia, LivornoMost of the pictures posted these days were taken on the “surfers” Saturday, as you can see from the ominous sky, along with some archive images. It has been raining almost daily since, and fresh photos are difficult to get.

The ominous sky is very pretty!

I have that trouble getting out when it is too snowy here.

Nice pictures, would love to see them in person!

I'm so impressed with this villas. This one is truly elegante! Such clean lines and that "turret" is just plain beautiful!

So, tell me, what does something like this cost? In USD?

The ominous skies in the first photo do set off the building beautifully - I would think the owners would want that photo! The second photo shows the true balance of its proportions. These pictures are so much fun to look at, thank you!

Really beautiful and elegant. As far as "normal" I don't think so. Great photos once again.

Ah, to live in such a place.

I sooo like these mansions. The lighting in the 1st photo makes it look out of an Architectural Digest. Wonderful.

Who is living in a grand house like this?
Are they turned into offices and flats perhaps??
Very nice!

This "mansion"is fabulous!I bet is sooo expensive! And you are right, when it's raining we can not go for a walk so that, it's difficult to get new pictures.
But glad to see you had a beautiful sunny weekend! :)
Hope today the weather there is better.
hugs
Léia ( here is snowing a lot, people says it's not normal...for me it's cold indeed!)

This would be a lovely neigbourhood to live in. :)

I can relate to the overcast, yucky weather. It has been tricky getting photos here too.

I like this one too, especially the corner doors and balcony. I still like the pale green color on the one next door the best I think!

This series of "small" castles is wonderful. They are all so elegant and luxurious in appearance. I would imagine the service would be excellent.

Must be a mediterranean thing... In the 'noble' parts of Barcelona, there are a lot of buildings strikingly similar to these ones.

They say I should go out and get myself some rainy shots but I'm like you. The inspiration follows the sun.

You will have to learn to take photos as if you lived in Astoria - in the rain!

But about this villa and these photos. Once again, the images are so striking and beautiful. I don't have any new words today. But if that is a normal building??? I don't think so! It's spectacular to anyone living here. This was a fantastic series. I hope it's not completely finished.

This is indeed elegant, but nothing close to what I would consider "normal". It is like a palace to me.

I looked at the others again and you're right, this one looks most like a 'normal' house.

Sorry to hear about your rainy weather. I hope it clears up soon.

Really beautiful building. I can imagine how it is to seat reading and drinking coffee in that tower room. Nice.
