Mostly Signs

It is a cold afternoon but it's not raining, so my Sunday walk start with this window not far from “Piazza della Vittoria”.On the other side of the square a seventy square meter surface gave the owner of this business an idea for its name. The very old fashioned sign of an optician in “Via Ricasoli”.Corner buildings in “Via Ricasoli”, just before “Piazza Cavour”.Not far, one of the oldest pubs in town, with a very original name.

Well, that was a fun walk. The first photo brought a bit of color into a cool, not rainy day, right?

And is that a bit of graffiti I see off to the right in the second shot?

The optician's sign is a bit "old fashioned," although I think some people (Woody Allen) still wear those type of frames...

I really like the corner buildings...and you composed the shot perfectly.

How is the very originally-named London pub. Did you stop in for a pint, old man?

Great fun, VP.

Nice series. Beauty lies in the eyes of the amateur photographer :) Seriously now, you have and amazing eye for details. Btw, I searched the internet and there seems to be a London Pub (& Grill) in Bucharest too.

There is much variety in your walks and you have a good eye to find the commonplace and the unusual. I agree with Steffe, the window photo is awesome!

You certainly have some interesting things to look at and photograph on your walks!

@ Steffe - Did you notice the missing metal 'curl'? It's there, resting between the pots.

@ Jacob - Early afternoon, the pub was closed and I'm not crazy about beer...

Nice passegiata (?) photos, I love the old fashioned sign!

And do all the English au pair girls hang out at the English Pub? Look forward to your park bench essay. My idea was lifted from the classic b/w photos of Paris & NYC parks. It's just an idea that is out there in the photography world. Not even my idea really. So I cannot take credit & will not. But, thank you for liking my images. Much appreciated.

My favorite is the sign "Ricasoli," a taste some "retrò"
:-)
Wonderful series!
Thanks!

There's something magnetic about that wide-angle corner building shot.

I love the old and modern in 70m2 (nice name, too). The metal plates are interesting! Pic 1 also very cool.

Thank you for another wonderful walk. That colorful window is just lovely. And so is the bar where the Beamish ad is hanging.
