Stunning architectural beauty. & as I previously said, you've taken full advantage of the dark sky for some amazing photos. Actually, your 'new' towers put the old mansion PV tower to shame, but it's the same idea (http://palosverdesdailyphoto.blogspot.com/2009/12/towers-neighborhood-church-flagler.html)

Beautiful architecture old designs but new. That dramatic dark sky really makes these turrets pop out.

Thanks for sharing your photos of the various villas...

These last two are stunning...and must be quite large.

So what do people use the turrets for...are they another room in the house, a place to get away? I would imagine they provide some scenic views of Livorno and its surroundings...

I like these even more than the last. They look really nice and also familiar. I think I've seen this style copied in a condominium community in Texas.

You've saved the most dramatic turrets and the most dramatic sky for the end - like a fireworks show where everthing explodes in the last few minutes. Yesterday's first pic (also visible on the screen as I write) is so striking it's almost hard to say that, but I think it's true. This was a remarkable series. So, what are you going to do next? :-)

Wonderful villas, pretty big, and must be nice to have large pool:)

That stormy sky really make these pictures pop - all quite beautiful. I guess the turret on the left is an apartment now. Gorgeous colors on these buildings.

Not just the balcony — the entire villa seems to have lots of ornate yet subtle details.

Thank you very much for the tour of these lovely twin, turreted villas! I enjoyed it very much!

Adorable series!
It's a charming and elegant place to live, but you must have "money"indeed to take some like it!
The first shot is so impressive,I mean about the light in all, it's beautiful.Your pictures are awesome, you have much talent for it!

The pictures of these turrets, almost all taken the same day, were posted in chronological order of shooting.
The sky was as it was and the sun was going down fast, as you can see in these last images.
Sorry for you, these are the last turrets along “Viale Italia”, but absolutely not the last ones in Livorno...

I can't decide if I like more the windowed one or the open one. The closed one can be used in winter as a reading room, I imagine the light is great in there. The open one can be used as a shaded place in summer but not forcing you to sit in the air conditioned indoors. Tough choice.

More gloriously dramatic skies and beautiful buildings! I guess you were lucky to have such a super sky for all these pictures.

The details and decorations are wonderful--and the color.

I'm sad to see the turrets end, but these are simply gorgeous! I'm dreaming of what it must be like to have a room in that one with the windows. Beautiful!

This is such a good history lesson, VP, as I had no idea the moors have had such an influence on Livorno!

Just look at these skies and turrets, pergola or not! All shots on both posts are simply amazing! Great work again, VP.!

Nice one! This one reminds me of Rome, opposite the writing machine. Have a great weekend.

Va bene, se non costano tanto le compro tutte e due, una per l'estate e l'altra per l'inverno!
Magnifica questa serie, un bel contrasto quel cielo denso, carico di nubi e la gentilezza dell'edificio.
Grazie!
:-)
