Unknown Flower

Callistemon or bottle brush flower, LivornoI found this in Piazza Grande, in a flower bed just in front of the Duomo. I do not know its name, anybody can help?

Baruch and Livorno Fan say that this flower is a Callistemon or “bottle brush”.

It's a Callistemon, better known as a Bottle Brush plant because of the shape of its flowers. They are all over Livorno at the moment too.

It reminds me of the bottle brush but I am not sure the color is the same. Nice photo though.

It looks very similar to the bottle brush trees and bushes we have here...they are very pretty!

I had the same flower months ago and the same question. I too was told it was an Australian Bottle Brush. It's a beauty.

Never seen or heard of a bottle brush before, but it definitely looks like one!

Actually, it reminds me of the rambutan fruit. That, or those fiber optic Christmas trees which was all the rage here last year.

Most definitely a bottle-brush (calistemon). They come in many shades but the most common is scarlet. Some varieties are bushes and others are very large trees. They thrive in drier environments.
