This is the second part of the “Gran Ballo risorgimentale” (Grand Ball of the Risorgimento) in Piazza della Repubblica. The ball was organized by the Livorno chapter of the “Società di Danza” (Dance Society) with guest dancers from other italian cities and from Prague.

Another wow! Nicely photographed - not easy to take good photos of moving subjects, in a crowd!

In that first photo, the lady in the middle wearing the crimson gown...the expression you've caught on her face is priceless. I also love looking at the ladies' slippers which you capture so beautifully as they turn.
I love the couple in the second photo. With their silvery hair and the shiny and matte black, they look so perfectly elegant.
A very nice series. And well done to capture these as a spectator. It's allways a good thing when events like these come to town as they add some life to the daily grind:-)

These are just super photos, VP! You've caught the action perfectly, the lighting is great, and the viewer can sense the energy!
Livorno is just in a frenzy of historical re-enactments these days!
