Sad, but much better than I remember one hot summer driving on the outskirts of Napoli.... I think that year it was some sort of a political thing in the area.
(I spent my holiday in and around Sorrento. No problem there.)
I guess whoever left the rubbish there have never ever heard about ZERO WASTE.... home .
Much of what is thrown out as garbage could be recycled, like cardboard, paper, plastic, etc. That would make the volume of real garbage quite small. Interesting, if unappealing photo.
This is awful. I was in Baltimore in the mid-70s when a garbage strike had been going on for several weeks...garbage and stench was everywhere! I hope this problem gets solved soon.
I'm just reading an article about this problem in Livorno that says "the city's refuse collection firm with 42 million euros ($44.50 million) of debts due to entrenched mismanagement.

At least it is neatly stacked in the right place. Until the cats tear into the bags.
Good luck with that.
That is troubling.
Welcome to smelly Livorno!
I agree with Dina. Better stacked here than strewn all across the town.
I've seen this yesterday on TV, sad...
Always sad to see.

Yuck!
That doesn't look good. Hope things take a turn for the better!
Not a good problem to have VP. Hope the problem resolves itself soon.
