What a great find! Photographically speaking! Good Lord, it actually went backward and ended up that position? I thought maybe it was a joke, 'cause when I was in my first year of college, some of the more raucous students picked up a Volkswagen Beetle and carried it into the foyer of one of the school buildings. You can imagine how surprised the administrators were when they saw that!

Amazing that you just happened upon it. good shots. the bench saved the car and people---I wonder if they will take the bench home and mount it on the wall as a memento of good luck. MB

Oi veh!
It must be a strong bench.
And a weak mind that let the car roll.

Why do I get the feeling that this is a practical joke? Wish you could have waited for the owner.

What a great find! I'd love to know the story behind this or, as Hilda suggested, is it just a practical joke?

Lots of fun anyway; thank for sharing it.

There is definitely a story there! It appears there is not much damage done.

You definitely have to put this on the benches blog! How funny.

Do you think the car was abandonned by thieves or joyriders? If not, I guess the owner will have a surprise waiting! Hpoe it starts again.

I think the car was inadvertently left in neutral and rolled slowly to its destiny... I was in a hurry then, but if I know something more I'll let you know.

Even in Athens they don't park cars quite like that!!

I am speechless. Are you sure B Squared had nothing to do with this?
