Ferries are Back

The 212 meter “Mega Express Three” is the younger of the lot: she was launched in South Korea in 2001.Mega Express Five ferry, IMO 9035101, Moby Corse, LivornoThe 170 meter “Mega Express Five” saw her first water in Japan in 1993, while the 153 meter “Moby Corse”, a Dane by birth, has been around since 1978.

A Lecture

Culture & Sculpture

The banner says “You don't eat culture, but it sets you free”. Anyway our “Quattro Mori” (Four Moors) weren't set free by the culture but by the sculpture, if you know the story.

Bad News

Started in September 2007, it never had a sizable share of readers.
New hospital, referendum, LivornoA referendum opposing the location of the new hospital took place last Sunday, but only a 20% of the voters showed up. The quorum was not met, so the new hospital will be built near Montenero.
