La Darsena Vecchia

Fortezza Vecchia, Livorno
The Fortezza Vecchia beyond the water of the Old Harbor, also called Pamiglione. From the left we see the bastion of Canaviglia, with the Palazzo di Francesco on top, the Molo del Soccorso and the imposing Mastio di Matilde.
Vintage postcard, Fortezza Vecchia, Livorno
Part of the same view in a 1900 postcard.
(Postcard digitized from the collection of Antonio Cantelli)

115 years from now, I can almost guarantee you that nothing here will look the same. In fact, you probably would not recognize it as the same place.

It has not changed so much. I like the watery reflections.

It's still in great shape and looks very much the way it did 115 years ago. The reflection is a a stunner.

Cool to see the view in the old postcard!

It looks very formidable and imposing - all of it. It's wonderful to see that it hasn't changed all that much over the years.

Most importantly, you have provided a very beautiful photograph with great colors, a wonderful sky and even reflections!
