“All the same,” said the Scarecrow, “I shall ask for brains instead of a heart; for a fool would not know what to do with a heart if he had one.” “I shall take the heart,” returned the Tin Woodman; “for brains do not make one happy, and happiness is the best thing in the world.”
(Frank L. Baum, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz)

A very fun picture and the quote from Oz is perfect. I've always wondered how much good these scarecrows do 'cause I've seen them with birds sitting on their heads!
I hope this scarecrow is working hard :)
Quite a whimsical scarecrow.
"They went that way!"
He's going to get a big tan facing the sun that way.
I just don't see scarecrows here, so I think this is a wonderful one.
Oz speaks great.
nice catch ! :)
He is better looking than the brother living here up in the north!
Your scarecrow has a nice pose. I hope it works to scare the crows.
Ahh yes, if only we could all have both brain and heart.
Nice one, halloween for birds? ;-)
he looks like a happy scarecrow and i love the quote from the wizard of oz! a classic!
Last time I saw V's allotments didn't have anything as nice as this one which doesn't remind me so much of the Wizard of Oz as it does of Worzel Gummidge...
I like the quote and the scarecrow!
Simpatico, un po' di colore in città! Ciao, Arianna
