Theme Day: Rust and Ruins

Dutch church, Chiesa degli Olandesi, scali degli Olandesi, Livorno
It is hard to speak of rust and ruins without remembering our beloved Dutch church.

The building is still fenced off and its own railing is almost overgrown by weeds.

Wow! The seeds are growing faster than the restoration.

Very sad to see the slowness of things... the building itself has character.

The greenery adds some softness to the street.
So now the church has funding but still no restoration work?

It's a handsome building. What a shame the weeds are taking over!

Very sad. I think we were all hoping this place would be restored. :(

Beautiful old building, but the pictures are a little depressing.

This is a shame, VP. I know that your friends and you were hoping to get the church restored.

I remember when you showed the church before VP.. I'm going to think positive and hopefully sometime in the future you will be showing us some good news about this lovely old building.
