Porticoes and Planters

Via grande, Livorno
Almost the whole length of Via Grande, a fully porticoed street, seen from its Piazza della Repubblica end, with a distant view of the Porto Mediceo.
Neglected planter, via Grande, Livorno
This fashionable planter in Largo del Cisternino, at the end of Via Grande, looks unkempt and neglected, but it is only part of a carefully studied new ‘casual look’ painstakingly implemented all over the city.

Interesting street photography. Perhaps the city gardner could do a better job with that fine planter?

I enjoyed seeing this street. Let's get trowels and pruners and start cleaning up that planter!

Well, at least the plants are alive and green.
How are they watered?

The street looks very ordinate and clean, beautiful photo.
The plants could be held a bit better...

Nice photo of the street with the Porto in the background.

*giggle*

Knowing how flowers in planters need regular watering, I find it amazing this one has survived the hot summer. Maybe there is method to the madness, after all. ;-)
