The first competition of our rowing season is the “Trofeo Gaetano D'Alesio”, which usually takes place during the TAN. “Venezia”, last year's winner, triumphed again in the ten-oar boats.

The boat of “San Jacopo” finished second ...

... with only a third place for “Ovo Sodo” (Hard boiled egg).

Ah! Those Guys from Venice sure know how to row a boat. What an exciting day.
Row, row, row your boats!
Looks like hard work!
The rowing looks like such fun to watch! I also get a kick out of the cartoon characters in the background of the second image.
They all look fit and strong! Each team is well-coordinated with one another.
These are great VP!
That would be a work out.
It must be such fun, to row and to watch.
Hard boiled egg? Well, the name sounds better in Italian.
Dianne - Venice is a quarter of Livorno, called 'Venezia' because it has a few canals and some bridges.
Dina - The funny and nicely sounding nickname comes obviously from their colors: white and yellow. It was derisive at first, then they adopted it.
super captures.
A very colorful collection you have for us but of course I love the ROUGE the best! :)
