A classical example of our people speaking with their hands, when some minor problem arises while fastening together the parts of the floating docks for the TAN.
On the south side of the Elba pier the work is almost finished.
On the north side a solution is found, then work continues.

The colors in these shots are magnificent...especially the water.
I love watching people talk with their hands, and even their entire bodies! I can spend a most enjoyable afternoon just doing that.
The dock looks so neat without any boats yet. Though I'm getting dizzy just imagining having to walk down its entire length.
And I really find that floating crane just awesome!
The cranes also seem to have a sort of sign language.
So it's true that Italians DO talk with their gestures and hands and lots of emotion then, non?!

In New York there is an old joke:
Q: How can you tell the Jews from the Italians?
A: Jews talk with one hand and Italians talk with two hands.
(I'm afraid that Israelis in public too often talk with "elbow-power.")

Looks like glorious weather. Must be wonderful to live on such a beautiful harbor. P.S. I've seen Tulip Trees in Prague. So they are in someplaces in Europe.
