Mulino Bianco
In mid-August everything grinds to a halt here, but this time a watermill appeared in “Piazza Cavour”. It is obviously a very fake mill inspired by the “Mulino Bianco” (White Flour Mill), a brand name of the “Barilla Group”, the Italian pasta producer. They are on tour trying to teach us how to do an healthy Italian breakfast, which reasonably involves some of their products, anyhow quite good.People had to fill a form, then were offered a short lesson and a bag of products, which they could take away or consume comfortably seated outside the “mill”.

The tree reminds me of a prop in a school play :)
Wow! Proprio ieri ho comprato due sacchetti di "Pan di Stelle" :-))
What a bizzare tree
My kitchen is filled with Barilla pasta.
Haha. You've inspired me with these. I think I'll post a real mill today, though it's no longer working.
Intersting idea - are the products good ?
The tree is funny!
Requires a lot of practice. Nice tree!
I think the tree is sort of cute!
I guess they weren't suggesting people eat nutella for breakfast? ;)
Well, that's very nice, even if they're pushing their product...but, as you say, if it's healthy...
Love the tree! What a great expression.
That's very nice. I'm curious about what a healthy Italian breakfast would be.
The tree reminds me of the trees in the 1960's children's tv show called H.R. Puff N Stuff.
Very nice "kitsch". I do, however, have a bit of a problem with the nocciole biscuits. I could eat a whole pack in... oh about 10 minutes!
This tree looks very happy!Great idea!I want to fill this form too!
I'm in okay!
Léia :)
Are they growing real tomatoes on that tree? It would be a very fun idea. Water mills even if not functional always have my respect. It is one the first monster machines people created :) If I ever end up on an island with no people - I'll build myself one :)
What a funny display! I have barilla in my cupboard!
Have Italians started eating unhealthy breakfasts? I like your photo, and I would not mind getting some of that free food! It sounds good. I posted a nice AFS for you today :)
Interesting! Great idea!
Some good pasta is a delight on any day of the week but who would want it in the morning? I'd imagine they're promoting other products.
Cute mill but I think the tree would have freaked me out if I were a kid. I would have thought it was a promo for children's products. As long as they have whole grain pasta, I'll sign up!
Funny tree, nice!
