Sculptures in the Hall

Livorno
The neoclassical building was completed in 1848 on a design by the architect Pasquale Poccianti within the project for the Acquedotto Leopoldino (Leopoldine Aqueduct), but it was never used as a cistern. After the war it was used for years as Casa della Cultura (Culture House) and, after a quite long renovation, is now open to the public.

Beautiful! (But then, anything with arches is beautiful.)

One can breathe the silence. (Now you will tell me there's a busy motorway outside and loud piped music!)
