Very nice! I find the street light arrangement very cool.

Interesting about the "compression."
The compressed view is only a natural effect of the zoom at its longest focal: I like to see it on long city streets. Here even the hills around Livorno seem just around the corner...
Yes, I think it's a nice "cut" of view to show town's air.
