Brick Vault

Brick vault, via dell'Uffizio dei Grani, LivornoAn interesting brick vault in “Via dell'Uffizio dei Grani”. The building, probably one of the oldest in Livorno, is still undergoing a quite long restoration process. (Picture taken in May 2009)

Love the shape and the work that has (or have) been done.

Some people with talents have done a good job!

Such artistic beauty in this brickwork.

Calculations upon its creation must have been difficult, yet worth the effort. Impressing indeed.
Please have a good new week ahead.

I like the light against the deep shadow...and the two "eyes" out of the darkness!

The above comments express my opinions very well, but I must add that the brick work and the arch are outstanding!

Such old bricks and still looking strong and beautiful.
Nice to see all the tools of the trade inside.

This brings to mind brick oven pizza. :)
