This is a building like many others, with no history of note, but every time I pass by I have to try some shots.Built on an irregular plot, I like its colors and the angle. The simple iron balcony is quite perfect.

And I like the laundry. This is Italy on my mind - laundry hanging here, there and everywhere.
*grin* I also noticed the laundry in the wide shot.
It is a delightfully proportioned building and the colour is so earthy. I recall other posts you have made on it. I would image it is an ever changing pattern of open and closed shutters.
I wouldn't call it "red building" but rather "salmon (colored) building! Great corner angle third photo! Molto bene! Ciao
Nice looking house..I love the wooden windows.
@ Per - Please note that in this case the laundry is correctly hung from the inner side of the building, which is allowed.
@ Julie - This is a quite common color for old refurbished buildings.
@ Leif - You are probably right, more salmon than red...
I can see why you'd have to take shots of this place! I'd have albums full of pictures in no time!
The color is remarkable and the green shutters are attractive, and the angle of it makes one a bit dizzy.
The wash hanging on the line reminds me of some dimwitted politicians in the state of North Carolina who have decided to outlaw outside clothes lines.
Fascists!
I can see why this building has taken your fancy. It's intriguing. It asks more questions than it answers and that keeps us all guessing. All three of these shots are admirable and I, for one, would be delighted to see more.
The building is the absolute best! I love the color, the windows, and the laundry hanging from it :)
It's indeed a nice structure and lovely red color! The simplicity shouts about the beauty of the structure and in a nice way... I loved the persective on the last photo what a symmetry.
- Pixellicious Photos
Looks like a giant Italian ice cream - very pretty - lovely photos.
That is a great looking building and your composition is outstanding.
I'd be taking pictures every time I walked by, too. These are great. I like the laundry, and I agree with Jacob's sentiment! This bulding and your photos "should be hung in a gallery" as Jacob says. But the gallery would be full by now. I'm glad we have blogs! Very nice.
This building is very 'Italian' I think - the colour, the balcony, the windows.... if I dind't know where was it taken I could guess:)
And it's obvious why you can't help taking photos of it - it's just lovely!
Have a great week.
A beautiful building. I really like the symmetry on the top photo.
It's those funky shutters again! I can understand your fascination with this simple and geometrically beautiful building.
I love the color. Perhaps, the history is currently being written.
Nice photos. Unusual angle and beautiful colors!
I really like oddly shaped buildings like this. Although it must be hard to arrange the furniture!
I wonder what the rooms inside are shaped like. Hmmmm.
I also like the colors, the contrast between the walls and the shutters and the angle. Beautiful.
Love the building on the corner shot. Very clever. The light is so beautiful. Orhan Pamuck is here in Cambridge, MA giving a lecture series at Harvard University. I cannot imagine that he would stay here permanently in the States.
When I see such colors, I feel like home, we have same kind of architecture, and I'm living not so far from you!
Thank you for your visit on my bench blog. I'm glad you enjoyed it. And thank you for the word in italian, I'll correct my list !
I'd be happy to see italian benches, please let me know if you post some, I'd be happy to discover them and link them.
Livorno's Flatiron! ;-) I really like the first one, I love these shutters.
Very interesting! I love the formality of that first shot. Beautiful and interesting.
Ciel made me smile: ''Livornos' Flatiron''! :-)))
Sorry to disagree, VP, but I don't find this building similar to many others... It would definitely catch my eye too, it's so cool!
Well, like malyssa, I want to see your benches too! Why not start a bench blog like malyss and I each have done and we check out each other's bench blog almost daily. Then we could add you to our bench list and visit each others on a regular basis. If you do, please let me know. My bench blog is: http://fortheloveofbenchescontinued.blogspot.com
I really enjoyed seeing that building and the shot you took of it at the angle.
Beautiful symmetry and geometry of the photos. Lovely contrasting colors too. Very artistic series.
Interesting building! I love the first shot in particular, very geometric IYKWIM!
I loved the last picture, I like this kind of angle shot! It's beautiful and colourful!
Great facade,
Léia :)
The third view was totally unexpected - that is very sharp :) I like the laundry line - so humane.
This building is eccentric...it looks like a toy house.
Everything about it is so charming.
I think all 3 photos of it are wonderful, each accenting something unique.
