Lion Knockers
Lion head door knocker on the massive front door of a “palazzo” in “Via Marradi”: the lion has a fluent mane and the handle is quite sober, the whole thing looks a bit worn out.Not far from the first leon head, we have a second version on a front door in “Piazza Cavour”. Here the mane is cropped, the handle quite ornate and everything looks brand new.

Gee, I hope anyone would knock gently on a Monday morning!
I prefer the first lion although
is a little used...
(il campanello là non funziona, è evidente!)
:-)
Knockers are amongs my favourite details and those are beautiful!
Have a great week:)
Beautiful door knockers
Nice pair of knockers!
Oh, Steffe, you couldn't resist, could you. I love the aged patina of the first.
Beautiful items. All but vanishing over here.
I like both of these...in the second one the poor lion looks scared to death. Probably afraid he's going to get knocked around again!
Nice shots, VP...put a smile on my face which is a good way to start the day!
The lion with the short hair also has a more ferocious expression. Both are handsome but I like the first one better, worn-out and all!
Can a lion look sad?! I'm trying to find an old knocker at the moment, I would love the sad one. Both nice shots.
Great details! I like especially the first lion:) It has so gentle eyes:)
They are so nice. I love to see such detail.
What, no doorbell?
I like these lions.
Oh, il mio motivo favorito...
Saluti.... da Cinque Terre!
Fio ;-)
I like these. But the knocking sound isn't loud enough:p
I like the old lion, but the new one has an interesting shape.
