The Red Tower

New planter, piazza Attias, LivornoOne of the new planters in “Piazza Attias”, decorated with a narrow slice of “La torre rossa” (The Red Tower) by the Livornese painter Giovanni Fattori. The reproduction was wisely placed against the similarly red-themed pizzeria “Rosso Pomodoro” (Tomato Red) and even the color of the shutter in background carefully matches the blue of the painting.La torre rossa, The Red Tower by Giovanni Fattori, 1875

Clever and very nice VP.

It looks great. I wonder if the coordinated colors and textures are intentional or coincidental.

That painting is beautiful, VP! What a keen eye you have to discover the reproduction in town! A photographer 's eye is ever a wonder...
