28th TAN

Orsa Maggiore, Italian Navy, LivornoTAN is the usual acronym for “Trofeo Accademia Navale” or Naval Academy Trophy, an international multi-class sailing competition taking place in the waters of Livorno every year in this period.Kipawa 1938, LivornoThe first races were organized in 1981 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the establishment of our national Naval Academy in Livorno. After the initial success, the Trophy became soon an annual event.Corsaro II, Italian Navy, LivornoFloating jetties for the sailboats are anchored at the piers inside the “Porto Mediceo” while a whole village with stands, shops and restaurants, the “Tuttovela”, is built under the usual white roofs.
