The “Compagnia del Dolce Siciliano” (Company of the Sicilian Sweet) is from Follonica, Tuscany, but they have a real Sicilian heritage and they show it with their gorgeous “marzapane”.
They had a stall in “Choccolandia”, where they showed us how they fill the legendary Sicilian “cannoli”.

I've never seen a cannolo before, much less taste one, but I would love to! And those marzipan creations are beautiful!

@ Lily - That's funny because you don't find cannoli in ordinary bakeries here, but only in some pastry stores.
Most of what is considered Italian abroad is more strictly regional here...

The marzipan is so colourful! Pretty as well as tasty.
Though it looks gorgeous, I don't like massepain...
The mini-fruit sweets remind me of my favourites with similar shapes made of eggs and almond from the Algarve, south of Portugal! Yummy! :-)
