Choccolandia 2010, via della Madonna, LivornoThe “Compagnia del Dolce Siciliano” (Company of the Sicilian Sweet) is from Follonica, Tuscany, but they have a real Sicilian heritage and they show it with their gorgeous “marzapane”.Choccolandia 2010, via della Madonna, LivornoThey had a stall in “Choccolandia”, where they showed us how they fill the legendary Sicilian “cannoli”.Choccolandia 2010, via della Madonna, LivornoSee also: Choccolandia

What are trying to do, drive us all crazy! Yikes. This looks so delicious and so unattainable! Maybe I'll check on flights to Livorno tomorrow!

So these are what Jacob was referring to! Looks like he'll take a flight to Manila after visiting Livorno. ;)

I've never seen a cannolo before, much less taste one, but I would love to! And those marzipan creations are beautiful!

I wish that I could reach into the screen and get some of those delectable treats that you photograph so well.

I haven't seen those little marzipan fruits in years. They are so beautiful, and as I remember, delicious.

I love Cannolis!!!! (& everything else sweet for that matter) Now I think I may go to my nearest Italian bakery to get one. Today is Fat Tuesday after all.
: )

That is a work of art! Yum!

@ Lily - That's funny because you don't find cannoli in ordinary bakeries here, but only in some pastry stores.
Most of what is considered Italian abroad is more strictly regional here...

The mini-fruit sweets remind me of my favourites with similar shapes made of eggs and almond from the Algarve, south of Portugal! Yummy! :-)
